Smoke Causes Damage Long After the Fire is Out

The fire was quickly put out and the firetrucks have all returned to the station. Thankfully, the fire was contained in one area, and the building interior suffered mostly smoke damage. You may be thinking the smoke stains are nothing to worry about, but the smoke stains will continue to cause damage and can be dangerous to people. Smoke doesn’t just come from burning wood. It comes from plastics, fabrics, and all kinds of construction materials. And, it is very corrosive. Painted walls turn yellow and metal begins to rust and corrode. The longer you wait, the longer the restoration process takes and the more it costs to restore the the building to usefulness.
