According to national statistics, nearly two million people receive disabling injuries at work. One-forth of these injuries involve the head, eyes, hands, and feet.

Hazards of every type exist in just about every workplace. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires that employers must protect their employees from these hazards.

When the hazard can not be eliminated altogether, employers provide the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to their employees. This equipment, when used and worn correctly, will help minimize the exposure to the hazard.

Depending on the hazard involved in the work, the PPE could include ear protection, hardhat, goggles, face shield, gloves, boots, body suits, respirators, body harness, and fall protection gear.

Since we regularly perform specialized industrial cleaning jobs across the Southeast, our guys use all kinds of PPE on the jobs.

Just check closely to the photo and you’ll see many types of PPE being worn on this dry ice blasting job.
