DRY Ice – No Water Required
Dry Ice is frozen CO2. We use high density pellets blasted at supersonic speeds with compressed air. On contact with a surface, these pellets sublimate into a gas. In the sublimation process, the pellet's volume expands nearly 800 times in milliseconds, creating a micro explosion that lifts the contaminate from the substrate.
Since the blast media turns to nothing, no secondary waste stream is created. This means that the only thing to clean up is the contaminant that was removed.
The dry ice pellets that we use are made from food grade carbon dioxide approved by the FDA, EPA, and USDA,
Dry Ice Blasting Benefits for You:
- Capable of cleaning in place – No equipment disassembly required.
- No water is used – Electrical components are safe.
- Gentle enough to not damage delicate equipment.
- Effective at removing Mold, Listeria, and E. Coli.

Contaminated robotic injection molding machinery, used in automotive manufacturing, cleaned with dry ice blasting (photos below). Dry ice blasting uses no water, leaves no chemical residue, and many times allows machinery to be cleaned in place on the production line.
Cleaning Without Contaminants
Dry Ice Blasting is a highly recommended cleaning method in the food industry. The dry ice pellets sublimate into a gas on contact with a surface, so there is no drying time associated with the cleaning process. Water can be left behind in traditional cleaning, which can lead to mold growth and product contamination. Dry Ice blasting can be used anywhere, from bulk ingredient storage to ready to eat surfaces.
Food Industry Equipment Applications:
- Dry Ingredient Bulk Storage: Silos, Bins, etc.
- Ovens / Dryers
- Conveyors, Cooking surfaces
- Labelers, Glue Assembly Areas
- Bag in Box Formers, de-nesters
- Palletizer

Hard to reach areas of the plant still need cleaning. Blasting with Dry Ice removes dusty oil and fume accumulations from areas that can't be cleaned with water. Areas over process lines or electrical equipment are ideal for dry ice cleaning since nothing falls to the ground except the buildup being removed.
When deep cleaning is necessary, but water blasting would be impossible to contain, think Dry Ice Blasting.
Facility Cleaning Applications:
- Overhead work / ceilings
- Mezzanine cleaning
- Diamond plate flooring
- Exhaust fans / louvers
- Stairwell cleaning
- Walls / electrical boxes
- Server rooms

Make Your Downtime Count
Industrial rollers tend to collect residue over time that can cause inconsistencies and deviations to the final product. Having these rollers cleaned is the only way to keep the material in compliance.
Instead of removing the rollers to clean them, let us clean them in place, with NO DISASSEMBLY REQUIRED. The rollers are ready for production as soon as we finish cleaning.
Often with roller cleaning, a cooldown period is required before blasting begins. Dry Ice blasting a hot surface increases the thermal shock. This causes residue buildup to be removed quicker and easier.
Industries that use rollers:
- Textiles
- Specialty fabrics
- Printing
- Polymer sheeting
