Urethane Floor Systems
The urethane system is quite durable and can be colored with ease. It is typically of a high gloss appearance and is quite striking to look at.Urethane systems are typically installed with an epoxy based primer. An installation consisting of epoxy primer and two coats of moisture-cured urethane remains one of the industry's best values. Chemically-resistant urethanes are often used in aircraft hangars.
Urethane coatings are available in varied systems. One component and two component systems are quite popular. One component product is called "moisture cured urethane" and is solvent borne. Water-based urethanes are known for their outstanding adhesion properties, while being less durable than the solvent borne systems.
