CONCRETE POLISHING

Polished Concrete

Polished concrete is an attractive alternative to marble and costs less than a wood floor or good carpet. The concrete polishing process is new to the market and is something that is best appreciated firsthand.

To achieve the mirror-like luster from a concrete floor, a process called lapping is involved. In this process a progressively finer abrasive is utilized. Diamonds and other abrasives smooth the surface resulting in a finished floor which looks and feels like polished stone.

Simple and inexpensive cleaning maintenance is all that is required to keep the floor in its original condition, thus eliminating recoating and other problems normally associated with concrete coating.

Polishing your concrete also:
  • meets and exceeds ADA's slip coefficient standards
  • creates a more dense surface making it 40% more abrasion resistant
  • reduces lighting cost, by increasing ambient lighting up to 30%
  • inhibits oil, water and other substances from penetrating
  • eliminates dusting and fork lift tire marks
  • creates a low to no maintenance floor solution
